Star
STARFISH DRUM: Starfish teaches us about compromise, strength, agility to move through any situation, and to take your time and move from the heart. Starfish beckons us to trust our instincts and to follow your inner voice and heart to achieve your goals. Starfish also represent: hope, beauty, moon magic, regeneration, insight, guidance, inspiration and light. I painted this drum with sand from Zuma beach in California. Once I was finished painting the drum, I knew that it was not for me. The resonance of the drum is high and intense. This drum was gifted to a friend. The moment she saw a picture of the drum, she knew it was hers. Starfish are a bit of the heavens in the sea. Literally stars that lie on the ocean floor and wash up on the sand to remind us that heaven is on earth and to shine like the stars in the sky but with the balance and grounding needed from Earth and Ocean.
Follow Your Heart
FOLLOW YOUR HEART DRUM: This drum was inspired from a photograph I took in Connecticut. I was in the midst of questioning life and shifting my focus drastically that I literally would look up to the sky for guidance from above. I see beauty in everything and I just love how the clouds speak volumes, when you are willing to look. It's like our dreams, they may seem out of reach at times but if you keep hope alive, divine guidance is always at work to show you the way. This drum is about the heart and trusting it every step of the way, especially when life often tries to sway us from our hearts. I love the saying, "your head is in the clouds." Now I know that it's okay to dream and envision the impossible because the impossible becomes possible when we trust our hearts. We also must be willing to do the work to get there and to never believe in the concrete reality in front of us but to trust more in the unseen. The real miracles happen from a place that defies this reality and says, "anything is possible."
Supermoon
FULL MOON drum was inspired and painted during the Supermoon on June 22-23, 2013. This moon was the closest full moon to the Earth in 2013. It was also the largest full moon of the year. In the picture below, you can see the face of the "man in the moon." I did not paint it that way! I simply dabbed translucent paint to show a contrast in the moon. One of my clients pointed out that there is a face in my moon. Interesting. When I was looking at the Supermoon, I could feel the intensity of energy from it. The full moon is about completion and new beginnings. The full moon beckons us to wake up...to shift and to see things in a new light. The moon is also about mystery and feminine (goddess) energy. This drum connects to the magic and mysteries of the feminine and helps open both men and women to their emotions and intuition. This drum also amplifies the feminine energy in those who are already connected to their feminine power.
Soul Mates
JOSHUA TREE is a drum dedicated to finding soul mates. I know that much has been written about soul mates and what I have discovered about soul mates is that some people come in with many possible soul mates and some only have one. We have all had many lives but often we repeat lessons with the same set of individuals. This gives us a chance to work through old issues and finish up karma. In addition, those intense soul mate connections can inspire us to be the best we are meant to be. However, some soul mates may not have done their own work. That means that you find each other, the energy is intense between the two of you but one person is not in their power. The soul mate connection drew you together but that also makes it difficult to let each other go. The lesson though is to follow your heart and understand that if you have done your work and you are following your heart, other soul mates will cross your path. This drum is a reminder that sometimes you must stand on your own first, to prepare you for a life with your soul mate. It is also a reminds you to trust that every partner that crosses your path offers you a chance to grow spiritually and emotionally. Joshua Tree inspires us to be open to our journey and to follow our hearts to find our soul mate(s). I have traveled to Joshua Tree National Park to bless this drum and I glued stones from Joshua Tree on the inside rim of the drum along with a pair of Munay Ki stones, symbolizing soul mates finding one another.
Butterfly Drum
BUTTERFLY DRUM is about transformation. She beautifully flies with her new found wings and flies freely, having transformed completely. She is light and reminds us of the lightness of energy we carry when we transform into our more enlightened selves. Butterfly is also about renewal, rebirth, playfulness, elevation from earthly matters, tuning into emotional and spiritual, the world of the soul and metamorphosis. Also, each drum has it's own unique message as to how it helps others. This drum is about being able to fly into new realities and perspectives. Our reality is based on a perspective. Opening up to other perspectives and shifting one's perspective is a powerful tool. If you shift your perspective, you shift the outcome. Butterfly is medicine for the spirit to allow changes and to grow with ease into new aspects of awareness and that to grow as an individual always means that you must transform and your life will naturally shift and change as a result. Butterfly helps us do this with a sense of joy and wonder.

Dolphins: Healing Your Heart
DOLPHIN DRUM is near and dear to my heart. I have always loved dolphins. They are playful and compassionate and represent healing and intuition. Dolphin medicine beckons us to open up to the energy of love, balance and harmony. Dolphins also guide us to be ourselves and they help us with emotional release and healing. Important messages from dolphins is freedom of expressing and feeling emotions. Whenever I use this drum for clients, I have noticed that deep healing of emotions happens. This drum is also about working together and offering and connecting to support, since dolphins work together and look out for one another. Heart chakra is worked on with this drum, for those who may be hiding their hearts and holding back from feeling and from connecting to those around them.
Sedona: Growing Against The Odds
Sedona Tree drum is about resiliency of spirit. In this drum and in the original picture (taken by a friend), a tree grows side-ways out of Bell Rock. It's a beautiful sight to see nature find a way to prosper, just the way we find ways to grow emotionally, spiritually and mentally in the toughest of conditions. In fact, this tree is so beautiful because it grew in a difficult environment. People are the same way. It is only through challenges do we really grow the most. This drum is about beauty blossoming from difficult journey's. This drum is also about healing one's past, not hiding it. Often pain from the past is something people want to bury and flee from. This drum beckons you to address the past, so that you can grow into who you are truly meant to be and to shine. The past is like the rocks that become a part of the scenery, but does not have to hold you back. Let yourself be free from the past.
Awakening

HUMMINGBIRD DRUM is the very first drum I painted. I bought this 16 inch Remo drum many years ago and drummed with it "as is" for years until I was ready to try my hand at painting. I was in the crux of many changes in my life at the time I started painting, including a final separation from my ex. I started painting the swirls of golden and amber energy and I was curious about what I should do next. Then, a hummingbird announced its presence. At that time, I had heard a hummingbird outside my front door each day and had wondered why she was flying so close to my front door. Then I noticed it...a small hummingbird nest right next to my front door. This is very unusual for a hummingbird to build her nest in such a high traffic area. My kids and I loved watching her hover above our front door and one day, she even flew into my house! That's when I knew I was suppose to put her on my drum. Hummingbird represents: lightness of being, enjoyment of life, independence, resiliency, and bringing a playfulness and joy into your life. Hummingbird wisdom invites you to drink the sweet nectar of life and to open up to love and lightness in your emotional life. The hummingbird also beckons individuals to move quickly and to soar high above situations, since she defies the odds by doing the impossible. I was also drawn to glue Munay Ki stones around the drum, representing Universal love. On the inside of the drum, I glued my very first Munay Ki stone that I received. The drum is such a representation of me coming into my own completely. The Hummingbird near my front door had two babies after I painted the drum and her offspring gained strength and flew off. The next spring, a hummingbird came back and had babies again in that very same nest. One baby of that nest died. A death means a sacrifice and the kids and I blessed the baby Hummingbird who made it's way into spirit...flying freely forever now.
